Rubrics are crucial things for good impromptu speech. It makes the speech clear and easy to follow and understand.
I've been thinking about MOOCs now for a while and I am certainly insight that discussion about what MOOCs are or what are going to do for universities, against universities, to universities. And, so there are a lot of concerns that MOOCs are going to be bad in many ways for universities.
State the thesis
Now, I argue against that. In a fact, I am going to argue that MOOCs can help universities.

And I come to this through couple of reasons.
First, MOOCs can raise the university's profile. But beyond that, MOOCs can raise money for university.
Transition to main point #1
So, first thing I want to speak to is this issue of ...
Main point #1
State it
... raising of university's profile.
Explain it
What do I mean by that? I mean that most universities are non-profit institutions. What I come down to is there is not the money, there is to make it done. But universities are all about prestige and reputation. That is the language that I understand. As well as being public institutions that aim is doing something good for the public.
Prove it
So MOOCs can really help of rising of university's profile in this way. Why? Because MOOCs can deliver big audiences and MOOCs can help open the university, capitalize on its missions. In terms of numbers, MOOCs give universities eyes, a lots of eyes. Coursera claims that there are over 3 million users. If your job at university is to have people know of your university, understand your reputation who turn down such an audience, such a global audience. So, MOOCs can help universities rise their profile by just given them an access to a very large audience. Now beyound that, in a fact of the relation to that, MOOCs are good, can be good for the mission of the university. And that because MOOCs are providing free education. I'm a teacher of the University of Washington which is a public institution. MOOCs provides a venue of way to deliver education for free to a global audience. That is the good thing that university wants to be knowing for doing that advences of public mission.
Conclude it
So, MOOCs can really help rise the universities profile because we're getting more people invested in more free education.
Transition to Main Point #2
Now, that's the good site. In the other site of the leasure, we can look to what they're doing for the university. How the massing that top of the finances...
Main Point #2
State it
... and MOOCs can make money for universities. They can augment university revenue.
Explain it
How they are doing this? MOOCs can just flap up this money that can generate income and MOOCs can rise awareness about other components of the university, other programs that the university is able to market.
Prove it
So, MOOCs can certainly rise money. Now, this is very much intensity. We don't know yet since MOOCs so new how this is going to play over the time? But one thing that some platform considering is charging money. Charging money specificaly for degree completion. So, right now well know you are at MOOC at the moment. MOOCs can be taken for free, but certainly place like Coursera are thinking about if you want to complete that course and get the certificate of completion you pay a small fee in numbers between 30 and 100 dollars. So free option is still there, but also there is a way to generate the revenue trough that still in unexpensive way. 30 to 100 dollars is probably a huge amount of money, certainly it is not a cost to go to the university, but if you spread number of a couple of million users, that's pretty serious bank. So, MOOCs can help to rise money for universities, but also MOOCs can rise awareness about university offerings. So here is UOW. We've got some of teachers computational finance on Coursera. It's free course. But same person can run a sertificate program that rise money. Coursera give free advertising about this non-free course.
Conclude it
And so, it really can help rise money for universities.
Transition to Conclusion
So, when we think about this in the broadest level and come back to what MOOCs do for us ... as universities ...
So, in the end, I certainly understand some of the concerns (fear) about MOOCs and what can they do for universities or against universities. The issue is how we try to pass forward. I understand that, nevertheless, I argue that yes, MOOCs can help universities. And they can help us because MOOCs can raise the universities' profile and MOOCs can raise the money for universities.
Conclude
So, automately comes down to how do we move forward from here. We have to be careful. We have to be cautious , but automately MOOCs are the way of future, and MOOCs can be good for universities.
